GlobalGiving, Focus: Worldwide

GlobalGiving is a nonprofit that helps fellow nonprofits thrive. With a mission to transform aid and philanthropy to accelerate community-led change, GlobalGiving makes it possible for you to support local projects in 175+ countries, while providing nonprofits with access to the funding, tools, and training they need to serve their communities. When disasters strike, GlobalGiving quickly delivers funds to community-led organizations that are best-suited to provide relief and long-term recovery.

Fidelity Charitable donors can utilize GlobalGiving to support international charitable causes and disaster response. Fidelity Charitable donors can recommend grants to GlobalGiving to further support vetted GlobalGiving partners for an additional fee. Available nonprofits can be found on GlobalGiving.org via their search.

Fee Schedule:
Minimum grant amount = $50
Minimum fee: $0

Grants made to organizations already within the GlobalGiving database typically take 4 - 6 weeks, while grants for newly-established organizations may take 6+ weeks. Timelines may vary depending upon the time of year and the responsiveness of the organization.

Make a grant recommendation via GlobalGiving

If you would like to support a foreign organization using your Fidelity Charitable Giving Account, you may submit a grant recommendation to Fidelity Charitable to be made to GlobalGiving. When entering the dollar amount of the grant, select “Use” and then “Create Your Own” to specify the organization as a designated purpose.
