Magnify Community is a nonprofit initiative backed by the Sobrato, David & Lucile Packard, Grove, Heising-Simons, Sand Hill and Sunlight Giving Foundations.  Magnify Community tests innovative approaches to make local giving easier, more compelling, and more satisfying for individuals and family foundations.

The Sobrato Family Foundation seeks to make Silicon Valley a place of opportunity for all its residents by promoting access to high-quality education, career pathways, and essential human services. For more than 20 years, the Foundation has focused on building opportunity in Silicon Valley, investing in nonprofits serving the most vulnerable communities in Santa Clara, San Mateo, and Southern Alameda counties. In addition to the millions the Foundation grants each year in multi-year general operating and strategic program funds, the Foundation works to support a resilient, place-based nonprofit sector by providing in-kind space to 70+ nonprofits, as well as free conference facilities to hundreds of Bay Area nonprofits, at three Sobrato Centers for Nonprofits located in Redwood Shores, San Jose, and Milpitas.
