Fidelity grants through Stripe

Nonprofits who have enrolled in Stripe to receive grants from Fidelity Charitable or Fidelity Giving Marketplace will receive funds with the payor name “Fidelity grant” on bank statements. Fidelity Charitable and Giving Marketplace are serviced by National Charitable Services, LCC, a Fidelity Investments company that supports customers, companies, financial advisors, and more with their philanthropic needs.

How will grants show up in my bank account?

  • For nonprofits enrolled in our Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) program through Stripe, deposited funds will show up on bank statements as “Fidelity grant”. Details for individual grants, including whether the grant was made through Fidelity Charitable or Fidelity Giving Marketplace can be found on the Stripe “Balance” dashboard.

How do I access a grant report and donor information?

  1. Nonprofits can access grant data, including any available donor information, by logging into their Stripe account (Stripe Login) with the account owner email address.
  2. To find the details for donations, please click on “Balance” or "Transaction" on the lefthand toolbar. Once you are on the “Balance”  or "Transaction" page, you should see a table with information for the contributions and an “Export” button on the right. Click export and then select the appropriate date range and all available columns to ensure you have all relevant data in the report. Click “Export” again to download grant data.
  3. After the file is downloaded, review the appropriate columns for donor details and special purposes or dedications.

Can you give me information about a donor who recommended a grant anonymously?

  • Only 4% of Fidelity Charitable grants are made anonymously. We encourage donors to provide contact information to the nonprofits they recommend grants to by defaulting to provide a name and mailing address when a donor recommends a grant. You can see what this process looks like for a donor by trying out our demo. Any information the donor has permitted us to share with you will show up on the Stripe grant report.
